Here in Val Pusteria, South Tyrol shows itself at its very best throughout the year. Your holiday experience begins right on the doorstep: hiking, cycling, skiing or simply taking a moment to reflect.
And if you need tips – we spend a lot of time outdoors ourselves and are always happy to share our favourite places.
When the scent of hay fills the air and the sun circles above the peaks of Valdaora, Val Pusteria comes to life. Meadows, forests and paths invite you to spend the day outdoors – hiking, cycling or simply enjoying a good ice cream on the bench in front of the house.
A summer just as it should be: peaceful, natural, genuine.
When the sun rises over the mountains of Valdaora, everyone heads outside. Hiking trails start right outside the door and lead up to mountain pastures, alpine huts and summits.
The Valdaora Tourist Office regularly offers guided tours – with hiking guides who know Val Pusteria like the back of their hand.
Whether an easy ride through the valley or a sporty climb up to the mountain pastures – the well-developed cycle network around Valdaora leads in every direction. Bike hire is available in Valdaora di Mezzo (Rent and Go, Sport Sagmeister) or in the nearby Valle di Anterselva.
Would you like to cool off? The Valdaora outdoor swimming pool (approx. 1 km away) offers refreshing relief, as does a dip in one of the nearby mountain lakes.
If you prefer to stay active, Val Pusteria offers climbing, golf, paragliding or even paddling, depending on what you fancy.
And if you feel like taking things a little more slowly visit one of the many festivals or cultural events – from summer concerts to traditional village fairs.
When the mountains glow white in winter and the air turns crisp, Valdaora shows its most beautiful side.
Perfect for quiet days and active hours in the snow.

From the Pfarrwirt Apartments the nearest stop is about 550–600 metres away. The new Valdaora CallBus has a stop directly in front of the farm.
In just around 20 minutes you can reach some of South Tyrol’s most beautiful and well-known cross-country ski areas – Anterselva, Valle di Casies, Dobbiaco or Prato Piazza.
Kilometres of trails, perfectly prepared tracks and a panorama that attracts even world-class athletes here year after year.
